Tearoom Policies and FAQs

General Tearoom Policies

  • Telephone Only Reservations are required 48 hours in advance of the scheduled Afternoon Seating.  A $100 deposit is necessary to hold the reservation for parties of 6 or more.

  • Special Events (e.g. Mother’s Day) may require full non-refundable payment with reservation.  

  • 48 hour notice of cancellation is required.  Host/Hostesses will be charged for their guests who do not honor their reservation the day of tea service and will be charged full price.  You have the option to have the food served or conveniently packed to take home.

Private Functions

  • "Exclusive Use" fee for Private Afternoon Tea Events is non-refundable and included with the initial deposit.

  • Host/Hostess may cancel 30-days prior to the event.  50% Deposit for Afternoon Tea is not refundable unless cancellation is confirmed 30-days prior to the event.  Cancellation occurring within 30-days of Event will result in a total forfeiture of deposit.

  • Tea Service charges are non-refundable for guests that did not honor their reservation

Dietary Restrictions/Requests

  • Dietary restrictions/allergies are discussed during reservations.  Limited Gluten-Free, Vegetarian and Vegan can be accommodated with advanced notice.  Additional fees may be applicable.


  • We are unable to seat children under 5 years of age, including infants.  We do not have highchairs, booster seats or changing tables and do not recommend placing children in car seats on the floor.

  • For our young dining guests, you are welcomed to bring Dolls/Bears/Stuffed Animals and do offer custom chairs at the dining table for your enjoyment.

One Steep at a Thyme reserves the right to change or modify these Policies at any time.  Emergencies do occur, and those exceptions/exemptions will be addressed individually at the discretion of management.
